Beginning to my Spring Cleaning!

Today I began my spring cleaning, and I started with my closet. I've been complaining for a while now that my closet was too small because I could barely fit anything more than I already had. Then when I thought about it, there was a lot of stuff in there that I didn't even wear anymore. So today I took everything out of it and only put back the clothes I still use. Thank God I did this! Above is a picture of all the hangers that freed up after I was all done. I have so much more space now. I definitely recommend doing this to those of you who haven't looked in the back of your closet for a while!
Have any of you started your spring cleaning yet?

First Wedge Purchase!

Yes, I did it. I bought one of the wedges on my wish list! I wore them yesterday for Easter. Sadly, however, I did not get a picture. :( I can promise you next time I will though, which will probably be very soon. To be honest, they weren't very comfortable after being worn for a while. Given, I wore them for hours and was constantly walking around, but nonetheless not the most comfortable wedge in the world. I do, however, love them and am so very glad I bought them. They came to $15 after using a 20% off coupon at Payless. Hopefully I will have more wedges to share with you guys very, very soon!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter yesterday! I spent it at my house with my family where my dad proposed to his girlfriend, Lorri! I've never seen my dad so happy, and I love them both so much!

Over the past year, I have become overly obsessed with wedges. Sadly, however, I only own two pairs. One pair being the Jeffrey Campbell's I posted not too long ago, and another is a pair of knee-high boots I solely bought to wear out to clubs/bars when flats are not acceptable. This is why I have created my very own wedges wish list! My goal is to own all of these beautiful shoes by the time summer rolls around.

1. The first pair I so desperately want is the white wedges made by American Eagle by Payless. I first laid my eyes on them when i received Payless' 20% off coupon in the mail. Every time I think wedge, I think a white shoe with a jute-wrapped heel. They are perfect for the spring and summer, and they go with just about anything. You also cannot beat the price; $20!
2. The second pair shown above is, again, from one of my favorite shoe brands. It is the neon green Jeffrey Campbell Darian Wedge. I am so in love with Jeffrey Campbell! I wish I could own every single pair of shoes made by them. This specific shoe, which I found on Urban Outfitters' website, comes in green, yellow, and orange. The green, however, caught my eye and is definitely my favorite. Although it is on the more expensive side, $165, I absolutely cannot wait to add them to my wardrobe.
3. The next pair I have my eyes on brings out the dressy, party girl side of me. Admittedly, I usually dislike most things with sequins on them, but they are just too cute. I am such a sucker for black shoes; I own about 10 pairs of them. However, I saw these and fell in love. Maybe this isn't the smartest purchase I could make seeing as I'm trying to brighten up my wardrobe, but I can make one more exception, right? Also, they are sold at one of my favorite stores... Target!
4. This next wedge is by a designer in which I fell in love with as soon as I discovered her shoe line at T.J.Maxx. It is the Women's Stevania sandal wedge by Jessica Simpson. The light pink color, described as "guava," is so gorgeous. It also, like the first shoe I mentioned, has the jute-wrapping which I love. Everything about this wedge, down to the beautiful curvy details, makes me want them so badly!
5. Going down the list is the Olsenboye Woodstock Peep Toe Wedge Bootie. This is my eye candy out of all the pairs on my wish list. This shoe is made up of so many colors that compliment each other so tastefully. Made by the Olsen twins, whom I adore so very much, you know you can expect this shoe to last and to be a head turner. This wedge is definitely perfect for girls trying to brighten up their outfits, much like myself.
6. Last, but certainly not least, on my wish list is another wedge from Olsenboye. I do have flat sandals pretty similar in style to these, but I think they look so cute as a wedge! I own a lot of black so I know I would get a lot of use out of them. They are also very cheap at $20 compared to the Woodstock Peep wedge which is $50.

I truly hope I get everything on my wish list, and I will certainly keep you guys updated!
Let me know what's on your wish list!

Real VS. Fake

I've wanted to create a post about how much I dislike fake UGGs for a while now, but I never thought I'd be able to find the right picture to explain why. However, I did some snooping around Google and found this perfect image which hits my pet peeve nail right on the head. Although I do not own the above picture, I couldn't help but to share this with you. I get that some can't afford to buy brand names. I'll be the first to admit I shop at Walmart sometimes. I do believe, however, this should be the one situation where if you can't afford it, you shouldn't replace it with a knockoff. They may be in great condition when you first purchase them, but as you can see from the photo I posted they do not hold up very well at all. I guess the saying "to each his own" applies, but if it were me I'd rather wear sandals than be caught in those lopsided boots. To all my readers, if you have your eyes on a pair of real UGGs but you're thinking of investing in the fakes because of the price... don't. Simply do a Google search for the pair you want until you find them for a lower price. I found a pair that I wanted that were originally $150 for around $80 on another website! You'd be surprised what you'll find if you invest a little time into it.

J. Campell

I finally bought my first pair of Jeffrey Campbells! I cannot tell you how long I have wanted a pair of these bad boys. Expensive? Yes. Worth it? Hell yes! These are Jeffrey Campbell's Roks Wedge in gray. They are the comfiest wedges I have ever worn. Sometime in the near future I plan on purchasing a pair of Lita boots from Jeffrey Campbell as well. Every girl needs these shoes in her wardrobe! I can say with confidence you will not be disappointed.

Long Overdue

Sorry to all my readers who haven't gotten a post out of me in a while. I've been super busy with work. However, I do have a treat for you! Recently, I tried out my modeling skills with a body painting photo shoot. My brother's girlfriend, Natasha Lee, who is an excellent painter got me the gig. She covered my shoulder/neck/face with cheetah print, and it came out amazing! The photographer, Joselyn Catrina, was nothing less than phenomenal as well. I hope to do another shoot soon since I had such an amazing time doing this one! Enjoy the photos!
